Leadership Extends Beyond the Boardroom.

First Avenue drives impact in our communities through not only donations but through the time and leadership our people provide to furthering causes that we relate to as a firm. This past year, our Community Committee organized giving-back initiatives for International Women's Day, Pride, Diabetes Research, and Breast Cancer Awareness to name a few.

Our team also collaborated outside of the office with SickKids Foundation, Habitat for Humanity Canada, The Epilepsy Classroom, Options Bytown Non-Profit Housing in Ottawa, and University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine through various initiatives. One of our most simple yet meaningful projects during this time of year is the Holiday Helpers Campaign. A program that puts presents under the tree for kids that would otherwise not receive anything on Christmas day. We take the wish lists from parents in need and purchase the gifts that we can.

As a core value of First Avenue Investment Counsel, we look to the new year to continue giving-back and engaging in opportunities that will make a lasting impact on our communities.
