Amar is a member of First Avenue’s alternative investments team, where he contributes to evaluating potential investment opportunities and driving value creation post-investment.
With nearly a decade of experience in fundamental company analysis, Amar has developed a well-rounded and strategic approach to investing. He began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Société Générale’s Leveraged Finance and Sponsor Coverage team in New York. He subsequently worked at EQT Asia (previously Baring Private Equity Asia) where his team executed control-oriented private equity transactions globally. In 2019, Amar relocated to Toronto and joined Wellington Square Advisors, where he managed the firm’s investments across multiple sectors, including airlines, software, business services, and building products.
Amar graduated from Baruch College, City University of New York with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Outside of the office, Amar is an avid landscape photographer and enjoys spending time with friends and loved ones.
